Weekly Share Spotlight 9-1-2017
Another smokey week is limiting our activity at the farm, but doesn't seem to bother the plants too much. This week we will have our first leeks of the season. Leeks are a delicious alternative to onions. We just made some clam chowder with them tonight! There will also be more melons, dragon tongue beans, tomatillos, chiles, chard, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, and garlic. We are winding the season down and for some of you this will be the last pick-up of the season. we hope you've enjoyed our CSA as much as we have! Here is another tasty way (pork version), (turkey version) to use tomatillos if you've already made enough salsa verde this season. See you Friday at the farm!
