Weekly Share Spotlight 7/27/2018

The weather is certainly posing some challenges recently. The heat and smoke are very difficult for us to work in. Luckily, they don’t bother the plants as much. This week we will have salad mix, potatoes, leeks, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, radish, beets, kale, garlic, onion, and tomatillos. Believe it or not, there is more possible but it will just depend on how much time we can spend in the smoke. Our zucchino rampicante squashes are just about here, we will just have to see if there are enough for shares by Friday, same with the green beans. Fingers crossed that we have some hours of easy breathing tomorrow and Friday so we can get all of these delights for you! If you are looking for a way to use tomatillos other than verde sauce, this recipe is great!
