Weekly Share Spotlight 8/3/2018

 

It’s August! Wow time is flying, we are down to the last month of summer CSA already. This week bring us some new chiles - poblanos (the best for chile rellenos), green beans, and summer squash. There will also be yukon potatoes, garlic, onion, leeks, carrots, salad mix, cucumber, bell peppers, sweet red peppers, and of course tomatoes! We had our first chile rellenos this week and they were fantastic. This recipe is very close to how I make them. I use the broiler in the oven or the gas grill outside to blister the skins and I don’t do the dredge, but I may try it next time after reading this. Lilly doesn’t love spicy food like the rest of us do so I roast sweet peppers for her rellenos. Hope you get a chance to enjoy some this week. See you Friday at the farm!
